One of the many features in our chat rooms is
colors. In fact, if you've ever been in one of
our chat rooms before you've probably seen
people change the color of what they're writing.
If you wondered how they did that, then you've
come to the right place.
There is two steps to writing in colors. First,
when in a chat room, you must press Ctrl and K
at the same time on your keyboard, so a small
box appears in your typing area. Now here's the
tricky part, each color is associated with a
number, and you need to type the number
corresponding to the color you want.

So if you wanted to write, Hi everyone!
in red, here's what you would do. Hit Ctrl + K,
then type the number 4, then type, Hi everyone!
and hit enter.
Here's what you would type: 4Hi everyone!
Here's how it would look: Hi everyone!
Notice that you don't need a space between the 4
and hi.
If you want to go beyond that and add a
background color to your text, after your
number, simply add a comma, then the number of
the color you want for your background. Once
again no spaces are needed. For example:
Here's what you would type: 4,0Hi everyone!
Here's how it would look:
Adding Color to your Room Greeting
If you have a registered
chatroom and want your room greeting colored,
all you need to do is type the small color code
(box) into the chatroom but dont hit the enter
key, then copy it ... then double click in the
middle of your chatroom and a room settings box
will pop up. Simply paste the (box) into the
room greeting (aka room welcome message) area
and use the numbers for the colors you want and
type in for example "Welcome to my Room!". Refer
to color instructions above if needed.
That's all there is to it. If
you have trouble remembering the color numbers,
simply refer back to the chart on this page.
